La Fortuna isn’t just another tourist stop — it’s the real deal.

Before I headed to Costa Rica, I’d heard of Arenal Volcano, natural hot springs, and jungle zip-lining adventures…

But I wasn’t sure if La Fortuna was just another overhyped town — or something truly special.
