The new high speed trains are now the best option, by far!

Exploring Ho Chi Minh City, the Mekong Delta, and the Cu Chi Tunnels was incredible…

However, they didn’t feel like authentic Vietnam to me… at least not in the way the misty rice terraces of Sapa, the lantern-lit charm of Hoi An, or the street food chaos of Hanoi do.

Not compared to the North!

After navigating the chaos of Ubud Monkey Forest and dodging a few cheeky monkey grab-attacks, I was curious to see if there was a calmer, more peaceful place to observe Bali’s famous long-tailed macaques.

I’d heard whispers from locals and fellow travellers that Sangeh Monkey Forest was the real hidden gem, a quieter, and more serene spot, and home to friendlier monkeys.

Naturally, I had to see it for myself.

So off I went to explore Sangeh, in search of a more relaxed (and hopefully less mischievous) monkey encounter.

Taking the iconic photo on the motorbike at the top of Nam Xay viewpoint was one of the highlights of my time in Laos.

As we headed up to Lantau Island in the cable car, we watched people struggle climbing the steps in the heat…

The humidity in Hong Kong in the summer is no joke!

We still had to climb steps though, however, when the Hong Kong Big Buddha appeared on the hill, it was definitely worth the hard work.

As I walked around the awesome wooden structure, I couldn’t believe that the intricate carvings were all hand made.

The Sanctuary of Truth Pattaya is a stunning temple located in Thailand that is a must-visit for anyone travelling to the area. It makes for an interesting day trip from Pattaya and Bangkok, with it being within a couple of hours of the Thai capital.
